You've all seen the huge piles of dirt and rock in pits throughout the Utah area. So you can image once all the dirt or rock is sold and hauled off, the ground underneath isn't pretty. To give back and stay green SK Materials reseeds their empty pit space with wild native grasses and plants. We will follow their progress through a series of videos here on Facebook. Today's video shows a four wheeler truck towing a piece of equipment to help clean out garbage and prepare the soil and compost. For help in reclaiming land damaged by mines, rock piles or other user neglect visit our website at www.skmaterials.com.

You already know that Wiggy Wash is a great place to get your car washed, but did you know the Wiggy Wash organization is also committed to protecting the environment? Wiggy Wash uses Eco-Friendly wash tunnels that allow them to recycle an impressive 90% of their water. They also utilize cutting-edge electrical and air powered machinery on an intelligent electrical system that controls energy use and reduces energy waste. As if that weren’t enough, Wiggy Wash also insists on environmentally safe and bio degradable soaps and chemicals in all their Wasatch Front locations.

A couple of years ago, Wiggy Wash got ready to build their third location in Orem, and they chose L & M Contractors to do the construction work. Understanding Wiggy Wash’s concern for environmentally friendly products, L & M Construction approached SK Materials about using reclaimed fill dirt in their new construction. Of course, we were eager to help. Not only did SK Materials find a great source for reclaimed fill dirt that met all the construction spec requirements, but it came from a nearby site which ended up saving them money. Isn’t it great when what’s good for the environment is also good for the bottom line?
