One year ago today, Governor Parson signed into law Missouri’s recognition that children deserve equal (or approximately equal) access to their fit, willing and able mom and dad.

I’m proud to have been a part of and grateful for all those that helped achieve this milestone and usher in a new era of parenting in Missouri! I’m also looking forward to even more family law reforms coming in the future!

My testimony in opposition to SB862.

Note, 452.375.4 states, "The general assembly finds and declares that it is the public policy of this state that frequent, continuing and meaningful contact with both parents after the parents have separated or dissolved their marriage is in the best interest of the child..."

How is 4/14 overnights frequent, continuing and meaningful contact when it is neither equal nor approximately equal parenting time?
