Standoff Insulators are widely used in electrical power equipment ranging from switchboards and panelboards to inverters and UPS’s. They are ideal for supporting bus bars or other live electrical components.

UL 981 Annex G specifies the requirements for bus supports that use UL-approved standoff insulators. Gund Insulators (GINS) comply with UL 891 Annex G and are UL listed components under UL File E354884, making them eligible for substitution without requiring any UL end-product (short circuit) testing.
