You might be avoiding your mail, but here's what you're missing: I recently opened an envelope I expected to be bad news... and found a check for $1,119.26! 💰

Turns out, marketplace health insurance companies are required to issue rebates if the companies don't spend enough on healthcare. I'd never heard of it, so I wasn't expecting it. And if I'd kept ignoring my mail, I would've missed it entirely.

The fact is mail can be scary—I get it. But the truth is the truth whether you know about it or not. And ignoring it never helps.

The good news? Opening your mail gets SO much easier when you do it daily, before it becomes overwhelming. Just like clearing your desk or emptying your inbox.

So here's my challenge: open your mail today. You might find a happy surprise waiting for you. 💌

Ever feel like you're failing at keeping your home organized? 🏠

You're not alone. There are some persistent myths about decluttering and home organization that make us all feel like we're not doing enough.

My team member Lydia recently shared an amazing video by ADHD expert Jessica McCabe that calls out 5 common lies we tell ourselves about keeping a clean home. Even though I don't have ADHD myself, I found myself nodding along to everything she said.

The truth? These "lies" don't just affect neurodivergent folks - they trip up most of us who are trying to create peaceful, organized homes.

Ready to stop believing the lies that are holding you back? Read the full post and let me know which myth resonates most with you!

My employee, Lydia Boda, who herself has ADHD and is an expert on helping neurodivergent clients, shared this video with me. The creator, Jessica...

After 20 years of helping St. Louis families transform their homes, I've learned what makes working with a professional organizer truly successful.

It's not about having the "perfect" space before we arrive (please don't clean up for us!). It's about trust, communication, and being ready to let go of what no longer serves you.

The best client partnerships happen when you:
✓ Trust the process—even when it feels messy at first
✓ Communicate openly about your goals and concerns
✓ Stay present during sessions to make those important decisions
✓ Remember that progress beats perfection every time

Two decades in, and I still get excited about every transformation. There's nothing quite like helping someone reclaim their space and find peace in their home.

Ready to start your own organizing journey? Let's chat about how we can help you make space, find peace, and feel joy.

After two decades and hundreds of transformations, my advice on working with a professional organizer hasn't changed. So I'm resharing my honest advice from 2011 about choosing an organizer and working alongside one. What would YOU want to know before hiring an organizer?

Looking back through two decades of client relationships, I’m reminded of this post I wrote in 2011 about setting expectations and building...

I started Peace of Mind Organizing® 20 years ago this month. I quickly learned that organizers bring a lot more than just expertise to the table. I first wrote about that in 2010 and I'm sharing that lesson again this week because it's more true today than ever. What do you think is the biggest barrier to getting organized? 🤔 Link in comments!
