The 121,000 sq. ft. Ashburn Recreation and Community Center is anchored by an indoor 50-meter competition pool. The competition pool features ten primary lanes, twenty-one 25-yard cross-course lanes, three 1-meter springboards, a 6 ft. bulkhead, water polo capability, and stainless-steel gutters, making it a premier venue for competitive swim meets and local club and high school programs.

A second-level mezzanine provides elevated spectator viewing over both the competition and leisure pools.

The 3,000 sq. ft. leisure pool includes a 412-ft. lazy river, zero-depth entry, water volleyball and basketball, and assorted water features, while a 195 sq. ft. spa with hydrotherapy jets and a 2,730 sq. ft. outdoor sprayground with a unique concrete-and-stainless-steel waterfall feature round out the aquatics offerings.

The Holford Aquatic Center in Garland, Texas features two thrilling water slides, a relaxing current channel, lap lanes for fitness swimmers, and both a tot pool and an activity pool that encourage family-friendly engagement.

To elevate the guest experience, the aquatic center features rentable cabanas, expansive party decks, and a dedicated party room, ideal for birthdays and special events. A fully stocked concessions area provides snacks and refreshments to keep energy levels high throughout the day.

The Holford Aquatic Center project overcame several unique challenges during its development. Due to the site's location adjacent to an active park and playground featuring heritage trees requiring protection, a flexible site design ensured both accessibility and the preservation of the natural features.

A central architectural element is the breezeway separating the Aquatic and Recreation Centers, which can open or close to provide shaded seating during Texas’s peak heat. To extend pool use beyond summer, advanced heat pump systems were installed to maintain comfortable water temperatures year-round. The result is a thoughtfully designed facility that combines recreation, comfort, and sustainability for the Garland community.

Exploring what is possible and thinking about how we can apply this feeling of global camaraderie to our life here on Earth for the betterment of humanity is a feeling that we hope sticks around.

Watching these brave, competent explorers and all the highly trained people here on Earth test this new spacecraft that will take us back to the Moon and beyond has left us in awe and so hopeful for the future.

The world needs more hope, love, and cool space shuttle-themed splashpads =)

The new indoor competition pool at St. Mark’s School of Texas replaces facilities lost to the 2019 tornado and significantly enhances the school’s aquatic program. The natatorium supports high-level swim training and competitive water polo. The all-deep, 12-lane, 25-yard pool spans 7,400 square feet and holds more than 400,000 gallons. An in-deck timing system and water polo configurations accommodate both daily practice and championship-level play.

Designed to serve both St. Mark’s and Ursuline Academy, the facility was carefully planned within a constrained site and multi-sport building. The consistent 7- to 7.5-foot depth provides optimal conditions for competitive swimming and water polo while maintaining safety and versatility for training and physical education.

New guidance for water quality in public pools and spas has been released with the publication of the ANSI/PHTA/ICC-11 2026 Standard for Water Quality in Public Pools and Spas.

Our CEO, Kevin Post, who serves as Vice Chair of the PHTA-11 Standard Writing Committee, was recently quoted in an article in AQUA Magazine discussing the importance of the update and the role the standard plays across the aquatics industry.
