I've REALLY been enjoying travel lately.

Earlier this season, I traveled to France for International Coaching Federation (ICF) Converge Summit 2026. Fresh ideas and a global perspective infused not only the conference in Paris but my subsequent travels kicking around an absolutely whimsical countryside.

And then last week, I was in Madison for the ICF Midwest Forum. What was intentionally a trip seeking insight, became a trip about camaraderie and connection as my coaching colleagues and I converged on Wisconsin to learn from one another. It was absolutely magical in its own right.

Each trip this season has doubled as a chance to invest in my education, career, and network, with intentional spaces for rest, laughter, and fun. This give and take is so important to sustaining the pursuit of your passions.

So, you know, if you need to take photos of everything, bank them, and put them to a cute song to get you motivated on a Monday morning, then I'd say you're doing it right 😉

We talk a lot about communication—and for good reason. Clear communication supports all 4 pillars of capacity creation:
✨ Time reclamation
✨ Delegation elevation
✨ Focus protection
✨ Process optimization

When communication is unclear, the cost rarely appears in one dramatic moment. It accumulates through repeated conversations, unnecessary escalations, avoidable meetings, and work that has to be redone.

Here is a 10-minute exercise to help you see where that may be happening.

Open your calendar and ask:
• What conversations did I have more than once?
• What decisions reached me that someone else could have made?
• What meetings lacked a clear purpose, decision, or next step?
• What could I communicate more clearly to prevent this next week?

Then choose one action:
❇️ Clarify one expectation.
❇️ Delegate one decision.
❇️ Remove one meeting.
❇️ Improve one process.

You may be surprised by how much capacity one small shift creates.

What are you removing, clarifying, or redesigning this week? Let's chat about it in the comments!

The most meaningful leadership transformations often begin with small shifts.

Learning to pause before responding.
Listening with greater intention.
Asking questions that invite ownership instead of simply providing answers.

Those skills don't just improve conversations—they strengthen teams, build trust, and create lasting leadership capacity.

I'm grateful to hear feedback like this from our Coach to Lead participants.

The best executive coaching doesn't create more work. It creates more capacity for the work that matters most.

One of the most rewarding parts of my work is hearing what leaders do with the time, energy, and focus they reclaim.

Some invest it into strategic growth.

Some strengthen client relationships.

Some finally create space to think.

Others spend more time with the people who matter most.

Leadership development isn't just about becoming more effective. It's about creating the capacity to lead intentionally.

📩 If that's something you're looking for, I'd love to talk.

The most successful leaders I work with don't come to coaching because they're struggling. They come because they've reached a point where effort alone is no longer enough.

Executive coaching creates the space to think strategically, lead intentionally, and develop the people around you.

Over the years, I've seen one truth emerge again and again:
The leaders who create the greatest impact learn how to create capacity, not just for themselves, but for their teams.

If you're ready for your next level of leadership, let's start a conversation.

After decades in corporate leadership, I founded AOK Coaching with one clear mission: Help leaders and organizations build the skills that create capacity.

Here's what I've learned business leaders need:
- better conversations,
- stronger delegation practices, and
- more effective team development strategies.

That's why I focus on 4 key areas grounded in evidence-backed research:
→ Time Reclamation
→ Delegation Elevation
→ Process Optimization
→ Focus Protection

These aren't abstract concepts. They're practical skills that increase individual capacity and drive measurable organizational results.

Helping leaders grow their confidence, communication skills, and impact is what I get to do every day—and it's incredibly rewarding work.

I'm looking for leaders, executives, and organizations ready to implement the skills that build capacity. If that's you, let's start the conversation.

Many people assume executive coaching is about motivation, but it's usually not. All of the executives I work with are successful, capable, and highly driven.

All of the executives I work with are successful, capable, and highly driven. What they are looking for is:
✅ A clearer lens on complex decisions
✅ A trusted thinking partner who understands organizational reality
✅ A structured space to improve decision-making, communication, and the capacity of their teams

At AOK Coaching, coaching is grounded in organizational research and focused on practical application, so leadership growth translates into measurable capacity, not just insight.

That's where coaching can be transformative.

Food for thought Friday: What leadership habit has had the greatest impact on your team?

Research tells us that recognition goes a long way in making individuals feel engaged in their work. Gallup found that the most memorable recognition comes most often from an employee's manager (28%), followed by a high-level leader or CEO (24%), and the manager's manager (12%).

Think about that.
❌ Not strategy.
❌ Not compensation.
❌ Not perks.

Leadership.

Quality of leadership conversations influences how people perform, engage, solve problems, and contribute. That's why leadership development matters.

And it's why executive coaching can have a ripple effect far beyond the individual leader.

If you're the person everyone depends on, there's a good chance you're carrying more than your fair share of the decisions, conversations, and problem-solving.

What many executives and business owners don't realize is that capacity isn't just about time management.

It's about leadership.

Over the past 35 years, I've worked with leaders across organizations where the stakes were high and the expectations were even higher. One lesson has remained consistent:

The most effective leaders don't become more valuable by solving every problem themselves.

They become more valuable by developing the people, systems, and communication practices that allow others to succeed without constant intervention.

My coaching approach is grounded in decades of experience and a research-backed methodology that has demonstrated measurable improvements in leadership capacity, effectiveness, and organizational performance.

Whether you're leading a company, managing a growing team, or navigating a significant professional transition, coaching can help you:
• Delegate with greater confidence
• Improve decision-making
• Communicate with clarity and influence
• Build accountability throughout your organization
• Create capacity for the work that only you can do

If you're ambitious, successful, and ready for your next level of leadership, I'd welcome the opportunity to talk with you.
