"Government shouldn't just regulate. It should facilitate." 🎯
In this clip from the Circular Strategies Podcast, Bob Alvarez and Tennessee State Senator Heidi Campbell break down the regulatory landscape of the circular economy and the role of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

The goal? Moving away from the "take-make-waste" mindset by creating policy that de-risks new technologies and gives businesses the certainty they need to innovate. Burying high-value materials in landfills is literally burying money 💸. It’s time to rebrand circularity as pure economic common sense.

Why the future of manufacturing starts in the 4th grade.
Tim Ridderbos sat down with Tiffani Claussen, President and CEO of Amprod, LLC, at the Missouri Association of Manufacturers Conference to discuss the one challenge every leader is facing: The talent gap.

While most companies are focusing on high school seniors, Tiffani is looking much earlier. She shares a bold perspective on why we need to reach students in elementary school to redefine what a career in making looks like.

"It's not our juniors and seniors in high school that we're going after... we have to go back to the 4th and 5th graders," Tiffani says.

Tim Ridderbos sat down with Madie Foreman from Silver Dollar City Parks & Resorts at the Missouri Association of Manufacturers Conference to discuss a question on everyone's mind: In an age of rapid automation, what happens to the "human element" of making?

While many industries are racing toward AI and robotics, Silver Dollar City is doubling down on the power of the human hand. Madie shares a unique perspective on why the most advanced technology in the world still can’t replicate the soul of a handcrafted product.

"AI could never replace our craftsmen," Madie says. In a world of automation, the handmade is more meaningful than ever.

The "Aha!" Moment: Inspiring the Next Gen ⚡
Tim Ridderbos spoke with Madie Foreman from Silver Dollar City Parks & Resorts at the Missouri Association of Manufacturers Conference about the "spark" that leads the next generation into the skilled trades.

Workforce development isn't just about brochures and job fairs. It's about visibility. Madie explains how Silver Dollar City acts as a living classroom, where a single moment of watching a blacksmith or potter at work can change a young person's career path forever.

"You never know when that little boy walks by and sees that blacksmith, that it might spark that interest," Madie notes. That spark is the future of our industry.
