For small businesses and nonprofits, coworking is smart way to reduce costs while still having a central place for staff, volunteers, and collaborators to work.

Every coworking space is a little different, with its own amenities, community, and offerings. But the idea is simple: sharing resources, physical space, and overhead expenses can be good for everyone.

It creates opportunities to work alongside others, make connections, share ideas, and build community — without everyone having to shoulder the cost of doing it alone.

That’s something I can get behind. 🙌

Eight. Whole. Years.

That feels wild to say out loud.

This business has never been a straight line. It’s been a series of reinventions, hard pivots, and creative rebuilds. There were seasons where things clicked and seasons where I had to figure it out all over again. Some shifts were intentional. Some were completely out of my control.

And somehow, through all of that, A Creative Balance is still here. Stronger, sharper, and more aligned than ever.

What started as yoga retreats, special events, and creative work has grown into strategy, systems, and helping people rethink how they move through their businesses and their lives. This work has grown because I have. I'm proud to serve my clients and show up in my community in a meaningful way.

So to celebrate 8 years, here are 8 lessons this journey has taught me. Let me know what you think! Am I missing anything?

And thank you to everyone who has been part of this business in any way. Clients, collaborators, referrals, conversations, all of it matters more than you probably know.
