Being Your Brand is a blog all about the good, the bad, and the “what were you thinking” in brand and communication strategy. Below is a a little bit about me, which is my basis for my interest in brand and communication strategy:

My name is Brianna and I am currently a brand strategist at a New Orleans based Marketing and Web Development company.As a brand strategist, I work with brand planning

and analytics to identify the most important audiences and best customers for the brand. I identify and breakdown the wants, needs and motivations of key audiences, as well as identify the most important benefits and messages for key audiences of the brand. I develop strategic plans and recommendations based on generating business and brand-building. My job also includes overseeing and managing client relationships, interfacing with clients on matters of strategic direction, and presenting strategic work and recommendations to clients. Louis, Missouri, I am a graduate of Tulane University with a BSM in management and marketing. While attending Tulane, I was the business manager of the award winning student run newspaper The Hullabaloo. I was also a project management intern at the Trumpet Group, a branding and marketing firm in New Orleans, where I worked with Partners for Healthy Babies, To***co Free Living, and the Coastal Conservation Association.

Happy World Social Media Day! 🎉 What started your social media journey!

Social media has shaped my life in ways I never imagined. It all started with the first-ever social media marketing class at , taught by Ashley Nelson. (Yes, I still have *The Social Media Bible* 📚). From there, I discovered my love for marketing through my blog BeingYourBrand.com and building connections on Twitter.

One unforgettable moment? Getting locked in *Twitter Jail* during the first for tweeting session takeaways too fast! Shoutout to , , and everyone who helped me get back online. That was how I met and eventually helped run MDMC for 7 amazing years.

Later, I had the privilege of teaching social media courses at , where I truly found my passion for teaching and sharing knowledge.

Social media isn’t just about likes or shares; it’s about connection, growth, and storytelling. I’m so grateful for the opportunities and relationships it’s brought into my life.
