Hearing what my students have to say about the program is incredibly valuable to me, especially when the remarks are this good. đŸ€

Tamara has been in the program since April of last year and I’ve been able to help her through more than a full year of business.

We even worked together 1:1 for 90 days last year which meant I kept a close eye on her numbers through Shopify, Klaviyo and even her ads manager.

I’ve been here for both her good moments and the hard moments, even as recently as last month.

She and I had a 1:1 call on July 17th after which she implemented a suggestion I made which led to selling 85 pieces of old inventory and acquiring 52 orders.

Oh and did I mention, she’s only been in business since February of last year? 🙃

I watched her cross $10,000 in one month before she even had 1,000 followers.

You sell perfume oil online and keep thinking:

“But they can’t smell it through the screen.”

Exactly.

So stop trying to sell the scent.

Sell the experience of wearing it.

Don’t just say:
“Notes of vanilla, amber, and musk.”

Tell me she smells expensive before she even says hello.

Tell me this is the scent she puts on before date night because she already knows somebody is going to ask, “What are you wearing?”

Tell me it’s warm, feminine, soft, addictive—the kind of fragrance that stays on her skin and has people leaning in a little closer.

Because online, your customer can’t smell the product.

But she CAN imagine the version of herself wearing it.

That’s your job.

Your content has to bridge the gap between what they can’t physically experience through the screen and what they desperately want to feel in real life.

Stop only describing the perfume.

Describe the woman who wears it.

That’s how you sell scent online.

One of the biggest reasons product-based business owners struggle to sell is because they know the product, but they have not learned the department.

There is a difference.

When I worked in department stores, I did not need to personally be obsessed with everything I sold.

I barely wore makeup when I got moved into cosmetics.

I do not wear perfume, and I still sold fragrance.

Why?

Because I learned what mattered to the customer.

What they asked.
What they compared.
What made them hesitate.
What they needed explained.
What helped them choose.

That is what a good salesperson does.

And online, your website and content have to do that same job.

So if you sell skincare, learn the skincare department.

If you sell clothing, learn the clothing department.

If you sell candles, learn the candle department.

If you sell sunglasses, learn the sunglasses department.

Not just the product.

The buyer.

The questions.

The use cases.

The objections.

The comparisons.

The reason one person should choose one option over another.

That is what turns “I have products” into “I know how to sell what I have.”

If you sell sunglasses, your customer has one problem before she buys:

She can’t try them on.

So your content has to do the next best thing.

Show the fit.
Show the side view.
Show the face shape.
Show the outfit.
Show the difference between styles.
Explain the lens benefit.

Talk about glare, UV protection, comfort, scratches, and quality.

Give her a reason to buy one pair now and maybe a second pair too.

Because for a lot of sunglasses sellers, this is a volume game. Your margins may be good, but you still need a lot of people to buy if you want to make real money.

You do not just need people to think the frames are cute.

You need them to understand why this pair makes sense, why it is worth the money, and why buying more than one is practical.

You’re trying to sell things that don’t matter much to the customer OR simply sharing pictures of your products hoping that’s enough to sell them.
