Sales funnel
A sales funnel is a model that describes the customer journey towards purchasing a product or service. It is often depicted as a funnel because it narrows down the pool of potential customers as they move through the stages of the funnel. Here are the typical steps in a sales funnel:
Awareness: This is the top of the funnel, where potential customers become aware of your product or service. This can happen through various marketing channels such as social media, advertising, and content marketing.
Interest: At this stage, potential customers have expressed some interest in your product or service, often by engaging with your content, subscribing to your newsletter, or following you on social media.
Consideration: Potential customers are now considering your product or service as a potential solution to their problem or need. They may be comparing your offering with competitors and looking for more information.
Intent: At this stage, potential customers have made a decision to purchase and are actively looking for ways to buy. They may be seeking out product reviews, comparing pricing, or looking for special offers.
Evaluation: This is where potential customers evaluate their options before making a purchase. They may be seeking additional information or clarification before making a final decision.
Purchase: At this stage, the customer makes the decision to buy and completes the transaction.
Loyalty: After the purchase, customers may become loyal and return to buy again. This is where businesses can nurture their relationship with customers to encourage repeat purchases and referrals.
