Have you ever had people in your life that are just SO incredibly talented? They’re artists really, creating not just beautiful, but functional pieces. Stephen Schipkowski is one of those people, who’s become not just a friend, but family. 2025 has been a YEAR for so many, but especially him; and during the hard times, I really encouraged him to lean into his passion and turn it into something he could be even more proud of, a business-Schiprek Ceramics. Starting out by making and selling pieces at local farmers’ markets or as gifts for friends, now he has an Etsy shop AND a website!

Through the power of body-doubling and being advocates of one another’s businesses, we built this website together in an afternoon. And just in time for the holiday season, his online shop is open and full of incredible ceramic pieces, anyone would be lucky to own!

Nonprofits move mountains with limited funds and budgets. They have to operate with discernment of priorities and often forego self-promotion and marketing, in order to afford payroll and keep the lights on. Grant writing is a lost art and imperative to how nonprofits grow.
