My experience covers a range of work, including, civic, residential architecture, workplace, performing arts, education, libraries and branded environments for hospitality, restaurant and retail design. Prior to Dennis McGrath Design, LLC., I helped create the education practice at Lawrence Group and lead a team of talented professionals providing experience in project delivery tailored to the assignment, I was responsible for creating architecture for evolving needs. I made spaces that kept pace with the evolution of demands on planning, pedagogy, project development, and design for serious clients. I provided leadership at the top level of Design Services for the Lawrence Group overseeing client interactive planning and programming phases as well as leading design and brand integration for Education, Mixed-Use, Retail/Commercial and Healthcare practices. Recent work includes; Haertter Hall for the performing arts at John Burroughs School, River Campus Residential Life & Performing Arts, mixed-use expansion project and Academic Hall adaptive reuse of central iconic university building. Prior to that I was with TARGET Corporation’s Architecture, Store Planning & Design Group. For Target I focused on retail design strategies and prototype adaptations for complex, large scale, mixed-use developments in urban markets around the country. I was also with Ellerbe Becket (now AECOM) where I gained valuable experience on corporate real-estate assignments for a range of National and International projects. My work has received AIA Honors, Preservation Awards from Minnesota and the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission. I have published illustrations for "ABC of Architecture", an academic best seller, University of Pennsylvania Press and produced measured drawings for the Library of Congress which received a Charles E.
