Officer Liles is survived by his wife, two children, his parents, and two sisters.

The CHP extends its deepest condolences to Officer Liles’ family, friends, loved ones, and all who served alongside him. His dedication to public service and commitment to protecting the people of California will not be forgotten.

🥶 COULD AN EARLY-SEASON FREEZE BE BREWING?

The GFS is showing the potential for a serious blast of cold air by Sunday morning, October 18th!

🔵 Blue areas could potentially fall into the 30s.

🩷 Pink areas could approach freezing or drop to 32°F and colder—including portions of Missouri and the Ozarks of northern Arkansas.

⚠️ This is a long-range model outlook—not an official forecast. Confidence remains low, and the timing, coverage, and temperatures will likely change considerably.

Would you be ready for temperatures this cold in October? 👀👇
