New York City cooling tower requirements are getting stricter. 🚨

New legislation signed by Governor Kathy Hochul strengthens requirements surrounding cooling tower inspections, testing, cleaning, disinfection, and certification. The regulation establishes tighter timelines for addressing identified health hazards and increases penalties for violations, including twice-yearly certification, weekly inspection/testing requirements, and more rapid remediation of contaminants.
