I know we all really reallyyy want to start the year on a great note. I used to think that for the first 7 days of a new year, I should be going harder than I did the previous 365 days. 🙃
But you know how that left me feeling ? Pressured, overwhelmed and unconfident. 🙅🏽♀️
I was feeling overwhelmed by the need to “hit the ground running”. The first week of 2021 can be a lot less stressful if you start the year off intentionally. 🙌🏾
📍Journal your thoughts on the new year and things you want to accomplish. This isn’t a business or a marketing plan, its brain dump of all your feelings, wants, worries, and dreams.
📍Get really specific about what you’re feeling right now, don’t think any thought doesn’t matter.
📍Sit with the emotions that arise from your ideas. See how different thoughts make your body feel. Does your body get tense? Does your jaw clutch? Do your shoulders relax or shrug? Gravitate towards the thoughts that make you feel good.
📍Envision yourself having already completed your goals. Relax, you are exactly where you need to be.
📍Once you’ve taken some time to get intentional about how your work makes you feel, you can get super clear on what it’s going to really take for you to be successful.
And not successful on “their” terms but the success that’s best for you. 💯
