🔥We had a great time getting to meet some of the fine people we serve, teaching some awesome kiddos about fire safety, and serving up some delicious chili! Thank you for all those who came out to say hi! You as our community are our biggest supporters and motivators, so THANK YOU!🚒

🚨🚨If you like homemade goodies, pay attention!🚨🚨

🍪Today, the Stamping Ground Fire Department Auxiliary is selling some homemade snacks to raise money! All of the money is used to buy public educational materials, severe weather staging supplies, and other items to be donated to the department. It is a simple and easy way to help support the volunteer firefighters who help protect our community!🍬

🔥Right next to Buffalo Daze, from 9AM to 6PM, our members will be staffing the station to provide coverage during the event. Come say hello, meet some of the firefighters, check out our trucks, and get some goodies!🔥

🚒If you're interested in learning more about the department and potentially volunteering, please stop by to ask questions or get an application!🚒

🔥Recently, SFRT District 15 brought out their Car Fire Training Prop and our members received some priceless, real-world training to better handle vehicle fire emergencies. Week 1 was spent in the classroom going over different tactics and the "why's" behind them to be able to make safer and more efficient decisions in different situations. Week 2 was an opportunity to turn the classroom into what we call "sweat-equity." Our firefighters and recruits had a blast getting to fight live fire and getting a better understanding for how the fire may behave and how to extinguish it. A HUGE thank you to the State Fire instructors that sacrificed a few hours on Monday evenings to invest in our department and the next generation of firefighters! Our firefighters learned a ton and had a lot of fun getting to put in some work!🔥

Starting October 1st, Kentucky Forest Fire Hazard Season begins.
We want to make sure you understand that the only distinction in fire season is that between the hours of 6am and 6pm, you shall NOT ignite any fire within 150 feet of a woodland or brushland.
Please see flyer below or visit the Kentucky Division of Forestry for complete information and descriptions.
You can also always visit our website https://scfire.org/open-burning for up to date information.

We will NEVER forget. 343 brothers lost initially, hundreds more since. 25 years later, we carry on the watch, and will continue for generations to come. Rest in Peace brothers, you are not forgotten.

Scott County Fire crews are on the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision in the 1300 block of Stamping Ground Road.

Avoid this area!! If you are trying to go outbound on Stamping Ground Road, you should still be able to take Frankfort Road to Galloway to get around the area.

Expect that the 1300 block of Stamping Ground Road will be closed for several hours and plan your commute accordingly.
