After 30 years with Vantage Plastics, Cheryl Robinson Goin is beginning a new chapter: retirement.

Cheryl has been part of Vantage since its founding in 1996, building lasting relationships with colleagues and customers while serving primarily as an account manager for General Motors. But her connection to the plastics industry began much earlier.

From working summers at Robinson Industries as a teenager, to earning her packaging degree from Michigan State University, to roles with IBM and Robinson Industries before joining Vantage, Cheryl’s career has been shaped by packaging, problem solving, relationships, and a commitment to doing things with integrity.

Her career highlights include helping earn the 2023 General Motors Supplier of the Year Award, participating in international trade missions, and—most importantly—building relationships that have lasted throughout her career.

We are grateful for everything Cheryl has contributed to the Vantage Plastics Family of Companies and wish her the very best in retirement.

Crazy to think that just 3 years ago our Bay City facility on Wilder Rd was an empty, rusted out shell (with families of deer and raccoons living inside).

Now, it is a vibrant, bustling manufacturing plant with injection molding and thermoforming under one roof!

Heather from The WELL Outreach is representing Vantage Plastics today, talking with local families about career opportunities, how plastics recycling works, and the ways Vantage gives back to the communities we call home.

She’s also helping spread the word that our team is available for classroom presentations to help students learn more about manufacturing, recycling, and the wide variety of career paths available in our industry.
