🌱 Trainee – $22.50/hr+ (No experience? No problem!)
🌿 Ground Crew – $25.00-$37.50/hr (Stay active & support the team)
🌳 Climber – $27.50-$43.50/hr (Prune, remove, and climb trees)
⭐ Crew Leader – $38.50-$53.50/hr (Lead a team & ensure safety)

Before and After - Wildlife Habitat Snag

In September 2018 our client hired our team to convert a large dead tree near their shop into a "wildlife habitat snag". Our arborist specified the trunk be shortened to about 50' tall (less than 90% of the distance to the shop), and carved to look like it had broken naturally. This height reduced the risk, and the carving opens up wood tissue that accelerates decay making it suitable habitat sooner.

Almost 6 years later in August 2024 this tree has already shown to provide wildlife habitat as evidenced by this large cavity that a bird excavated. The tree owner has reported seeing a few different birds including the pileated wood pe**er (Dryocopus pileatus).

Stressed Tree Rejuvenation
- Western Hemlock (tsuga heterophylla)

This has got to be one of my favorite and most dramatic stories of saving a tree.

Almost 5 years ago in mid 2017 our client expressed concern for a very appreciated hemlock at their home. It had lots of chlorotic (yellow/unhealthy) foliage, and patches of dieback throughout the canopy.*

We weren't able to identify a specific cause for the stress, but tip and dispersed dieback is often a sign of stressed roots. There had been some construction activity 25-30' away, but minimal impact.

We suggested and implemented a mulching plan to improve the soil health we applied ~4-6" of arborist wood chips in the summer of 2017. We've since top dressed with another 2-3" in 2019 and 2023 as the old chips decompose feeding soil microbiology which builds the soil that feeds the trees.

The tree has made a full recovery and now has dense and dark green foliage throughout the canopy.

We are very grateful and proud to be a part of saving this tree.

Storm Response - Camano Island

"We made the news!"

Gena and Evan have been working to clean up storm damaged trees.

This grand fir (abies grandis) uprooted during the windstorm on Friday night and landed on a clients residence.

Power lines were down across the driveway making it unsafe to bring in the necessary equipment to remove the tree entirely. Instead, our team removed as much as practical and secured a temporary covering to avoid any further damage from moisture intrusion.

They'll be back as soon as the access is safe.

As they left, caught Gena pulling away from the project area.
