A little late posting this one, but it was too good not to share!

I had the opportunity to build these bar tops out of spalted pecan, and they turned out amazing! This wood definitely gave me a run for my money, but we made it happen. We finished the tops with epoxy to bring out all that beautiful character and give them a durable, smooth finish.

I’m always thankful for the friends and customers who trust me with their projects and give me the opportunity to bring their ideas to life.

These bar tops turned out better than I could’ve imagined!

It’s been HOT, but we got it cut and stacked! 🪵☀️

We still have a good bit of wood on the ground waiting to be milled, including some VERY large pieces of hickory, white oak, and black walnut.

Everything currently in the slab stack averages around 20” wide, is at least 2.5” thick, and ranges from 12–16’ long. Once these slabs are dried, they’re going to make some beautiful table material. There’s tons of character and some really unique grain in every stack.

Now we just need the weather to do its part and let them dry! Can’t wait to see what these turn into. 🌳🪚

I have a client with a good bit of Black Walnut, 12”+ on the small end, with several much larger crotch pieces.

It’s not really suitable for slabs or standard lumber, but there’s lots of great turning and bandsaw material!

Big things are happening at Williams Custom Woodcuts!

We’re excited to announce that we’ll soon be offering kiln-dried lumber, with the capability to dry material up to 20 feet long.

We’ve also been hard at work in the shop on some stunning custom tables over the past few weeks. They’re almost ready, and we can’t wait to share the finished photos with you soon!
