🔥 Replacing a Gas Appliance? Read This First!

Not all gas appliances are the same.

A natural gas appliance is NOT automatically a propane appliance.

If you're installing a new stove, furnace, water heater, fireplace, or other gas appliance, make sure it is either:

✔️ Specifically designed for propane (LP), or
✔️ Properly converted using the manufacturer's approved propane conversion kit (if the appliance is convertible).

Operating a natural gas appliance on propane without the proper conversion can CREATE A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD, damage the appliance, and prevent it from operating correctly.

Before you purchase or install a new gas appliance, take a moment to verify it's approved for propane. If you have questions, give Dan's Propane a call. We're always happy to help make sure you're set up safely.

🚨 If You Smell Gas... Don't Wait.

That "rotten egg" smell is there for a reason—it's your early warning that something isn't right.

If you smell gas:

🚫 No flames or sparks. Don't operate lights, appliances, telephones, or cell phones.

🏃 Leave the area immediately.

🔒 Shut off the propane supply if it's safe to do so.

📞 From a safe location, call Dan's Propane. Even if the odor is faint or you're not completely sure it's a leak, we'd much rather come check it out than have you ignore a potential problem. Your safety is our number one priority.

🚨 If you can't reach us or you believe there is an immediate danger, call 911 or your local fire department.

Don't go back inside until it's been determined that it's safe to do so.

🎨 We promise we haven't forgotten about your tank!

We've had several customers ask if we've run out of paint or stopped painting tanks. The answer is nope—we're still working through our list!

Tank painting is one of those jobs that's completely at the mercy of Mother Nature. For the paint to properly adhere and cure, we need:

☀️ Temperatures that aren't too hot or too cold
💨 Winds that won't blow the paint away
☔ Dry weather before, during, and after painting

While we'd love to paint every tank in a single week, Nebraska weather doesn't always cooperate!

If you're on our list, we're still planning to get to you. We appreciate your patience as we wait for the right conditions to make sure your tank gets a quality paint job that lasts.
