Heartfelt thanks to the many who have shown support and interest in the launch of my new business, Discover Starkville. This project comes to the community from my heart. I am here to help every local small business owner and entrepreneur reach his/her marketing goals, get more customers and make more sales. This business is for us, the locals, those of raise our families here, work here, and those who make this place what it is, and now those of us who wish to bring something new, something fresh so that we can write the next chapters in this book called Starkville. I am your friend. I am here to serve YOU. I exist to contribute to the organizations, events, and community in any way that I can, when I am able to do so. Love all of you awesome Starkvillians!!

WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE?

Many of you may be aware at the number of independent businesses that have gone out of business here (Starkville) over the past year. I suspect there are others on the verge of following suit. We must stand together to support and advocate for the survival of independent businesses. Imagine what this town would look like with only major chain stores? Not a pretty picture. Many dollars from major chains cycle out of the community they are located. More of your dollars stay here when you shop local. I understand that shop local is a vague and boring. I understand that it doesn't do much to create a fire in a consumer to act on it but I think, together, we can make it happen. I am calling ONLY on those who care about the survivability and thrivability of our very own neighbors and friends who work tirelessly to bring products and services we need, want, and enjoy. Please, please show your support for local small businesses by join this group. At this time, there is no membership fee. It is informal. I would love to hear from each of you about how you see the economic impact business closures will have on schools, people moving into and out of the community, housing, food prices, etc. Reach me via Facebook messenger with questions, thoughts, opinions.
