Many reading program make actual reading hard.

As much as kids need to be learning words and the rules they follow….

They need to be spotting those patterns in diverse sentences.

Homeward is a reading program I developed for you to teach at home!

At Myrtle Beach someone said to me, “I can tell you came from a two parent household…” 🧐

I didn’t know whether to be proud or offended. 😅

I could tell that she meant it as a compliment. That I had a good head on my shoulders.

That I was so determined, I must have been from a family who had it all.

But that wasn't my life and I was actually offended by the assumption. 🤭

My mom and dad divorced when I was 3 and I only saw my dad on the weekends…

‼️But that didn’t mean I was brought up in a way that wouldn’t make me the successful person I am today‼️

I had a mom who BUSTED HER ASS! 💪

She worked three jobs half my life.

She had to live an hour and a half away in a crappy studio apartment and we lived with my grandparents to save money.

She spent less than 48 hours home on the weekends and most of that was spent at swim meets keeping up with my sister and I. 😪

She sacrificed so much for us.

I am proud to say...

-that my mom instilled a work ethic in me that is unmatched
-she taught me to I had control of my life
-she didn’t let me slack up

So when some random women said I must be from a two parent household, I was a bit offended, because my mom was a hardworking women who lead me to the life I’m living today!!

She instilled so much in me that I couldn’t learn from school through her example.

I literally wouldn’t be the person I am today without her, my father, or my grandparents, but that doesn’t mean I had to come from a two parent household.

I used to be that woman that busted her tail working 3-4 jobs at a time. That was my life for 5 years.

Now I bust my tail working on my business but that’s because I’m actually passionate about it and love it deeply.

I don’t really feel like I’m doing work anymore. (Partially from good strategy, partially from passion)

I’m so grateful for my hustle.

I know people will knock it, but it’s how I thrive.

I get it honest and I really wouldn’t have it any other way.

Do you ever look at online business owners and wonder how they do it?

You see how consistently they post and don’t know that you’d ever have the time or the know how to post almost everyday?

Today I challenge you to start thinking about what it is you could talk about everyday? What could you share with the world? What gifts do you have that can be valuable to someone else?

What could you do in 5 days?

Have you ever heard the quote, “We overestimate what we can do in a year, but underestimate what we can do in 5 years.”

There have been many variations of it, but I want to ask you...

Let me tell you what I mean...

I am a huge planner. (Anybody else feel me on that?!)

My days are extremely planned...Like I plan out every hour of my time essentially.

The same thing is true when I go on vacation.

I just planned out a vacation my mom, sister and I are taking in September. Literally every hour of the day there is something to do.

My mom was shocked and couldn’t imagine how there was even enough time in a day to get everything on the list done...

But when you focus on what all you can accomplish in 5 days instead of 1, you realize there are so many opportunities.

In just 4 days, my friends and I explored so much of Iceland (peep the picture above)
