🚨 Solar just changed—and most homeowners don’t realize it yet.

A new report from NPR highlights a major shift:
👉 The federal solar tax credit for homeowners has ended
👉 But it’s still available… if you don’t own the system

Read it here 👇
🔗 https://www.npr.org/2026/02/20/nx-s1-5649474/solar-panel-tax-credit

So what does that actually mean?

It means the solar industry is shifting—fast.

More homeowners are moving toward:
⚡ Lease-based solar models
⚡ Lower upfront cost options
⚡ Smarter financing strategies

💡 Here’s where it gets interesting…

Not all leases are created equal.

Many lock you into:
❌ Long-term payments
❌ Third-party ownership for decades
❌ Limited flexibility

☀️ That’s exactly why Envinity is launching a Prepaid Solar Lease option, bringing affordability to the people

✔ Designed for long-term savings (not endless payments)
✔ Built, monitored, and supported by one accountable team
✔ Structured to give you a path to ownership—not take it away

📍 Coming soon to Central PA + Pittsburgh region

The takeaway:
Solar in 2026 isn’t about chasing incentives anymore…
It’s about strategy, control, and making your energy work for you.

If you’re trying to understand what this shift means for your home or facility, let’s talk.

💬 Comment “SOLAR” or send a message—we’ll break it down for you.

Rooftop solar installers are steering customers toward leases instead of purchases. Federal tax credits for purchased systems have ended but are still available for leased ones.

What a great project for an awesome org!

This summer, Food Helpers completed an expansion of the solar panels array at our Centerville facility. Food Helpers' entire facility runs on electric power, including heating and cooling for the food bank's facilities. The project was completed by Envinity Inc. earlier than anticipated and is fully operational providing additional electric power for the Greater Washington County Food Bank. The project was financed through a generous grant from the West Penn Energy Fund and other generous Food Helpers' donors. This expands our existing 209 kW ground mounted solar PV array that also was funded primarily by the West Penn Power Energy Fund in 2020.
