Sheltie Animation Studio Staten Island's first animation studio offering custom animation services as well as a wide range of classes to those wishing to further artistic pursuits.

Founder and head instructor Marissa Scalero firmly believes that creativity is power. After receiving an Associate Degree in Animation from Delaware College of Art and Design, she continued her education at Pratt University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animation. She then launched Staten Island’s first animation class at a local studio where she had been teaching manga and comic cla

sses for three years. In 2015, she founded Sheltie Animation Studio to further her creative pursuits. She’s extremely passionate about her craft, and she’s excited to now open her studio to students so that she can encourage their artistic development. Marissa is a lover of Shetland Sheepdogs and a lifetime resident of Staten Island.
