Downtown Statesboro is the heart of activity in our beautiful Georgia city. We invite you to experience the quaintness and charm of our unique and historic downtown. sboro is connected to the Georgia Southern University campus by way of the McTell Trail - a beautiful one mile greenway. Main Street Statesboro works under a simple yet effective four point approach, including a focus on design, organization, promotion and economic restructuring.
• Design - Enhancing the physical appearance of the commercial district by rehabilitating historic buildings, encouraging supportive new construction, developing sensitive design management systems, and long-term planning.

• Organization - Building consensus and cooperation among the many groups and individuals who have a role in the revitalization process.

• Promotion - Marketing the traditional commercial district's assets to customers, potential investors, new businesses, local citizens and visitors.

• Economic Restructuring - Strengthening the district's existing economic base while finding ways to expand it to meet new opportunities and challenges from outlying developments. Mission

The Downtown Statesboro Development Authority was created in 1981, and Statesboro was declared a Main Street City on April 15, 1991.

The Exchange Club of Statesboro is proud to recognize September as Baby Safety Month and to remind our community that keeping babies safe is something we can all work together to achieve.

Every baby deserves a safe, loving, and healthy start in life. This month, let’s focus on simple steps that can make a BIG difference:

🚗 Use the right car seat — every ride, every time.
🛏️ Practice safe sleep — babies should sleep on their backs in a safe crib.
🏠 Make your home safe — keep medications, small objects, and other hazards out of reach.
🌡️ Never leave a baby alone in a vehicle.
❤️ Support parents and caregivers — because raising a child truly takes a community.
