A $1 Million Portfolio Can Fund Very Different Retirements
Is $1 million enough to retire?
There is no honest answer without knowing what the money has to do.
One household may retire at 67 with Social Security, a pension, no mortgage and modest spending. Another may retire at 60 with no pension, a mortgage, several years of health insurance before Medicare and a much larger lifestyle.
The portfolio balance can be identical. The assignment is completely different.
