💰 KNOW YOUR COPPER = MORE MONEY IN YOUR POCKET 💰

Not all copper is priced the same — and a little extra effort can make a BIG difference when you bring it in. Here’s a quick breakdown to help you get the most out of your scrap:

🔸 #1 Copper
Clean copper tubing, pipe, or wire with no attachments.

🔸 #2 Copper
Copper with some impurities — paint, solder, or small attachments. Still valuable, just a lower price than #1.

🔸 Insulated Copper Wire
This is where stripping vs. not stripping comes into play 👇

👉 STRIPPED WIRE
If you remove the insulation and leave clean copper, you can often move it into a higher-paying category like #1 or #2.

👉 INSULATED (NOT STRIPPED)
We still buy it — but pricing is based on the copper recovery inside the insulation, so it pays less than clean copper.

⚖️ Is stripping worth it?
• Thicker wire = usually YES
• Thin/light wire = usually NOT worth the time
