I recently had a call where a home owner hired some FB furnace guy. The fb furnace guy told the homeowner to buy the equipment. Unfortunately it was the wrong furnace for the application. Please be aware that mechanical contractors are insured for any incidents that may occur while doing your furnace/ac install..but your friends buddy or FB guy isn't insured.
When things go wrong..the HOMEOWNER IS RESPONSIBLE for any damages..not Chuck in the truck you hired at a cheaper rate.

High efficiency furnace,not even 8yrs old . Split the heat exchangers dumping carbon monoxide into the house. This could have caused fatal injury.CARBON MONOXIDE detectors save lives. Make sure every home has one, Christmas coming perfect gift.

Not your regular AC units anymore, new refrigerant out. Lower global warming potential, with new propane based refrigerant. Higher efficiency units, with inverter compressor allows units to ramp up or down depending on the cooling or heating load.

How this family didn't have a fatality is a miracle. The roofer knocked down chimney but failed to pe*****te roof. Dumping furnace /water heater exhaust directly into attic. Family had been sick with mysterious illness in winter since roof was installed two years ago Carbon Monoxide is deadly, make sure you have licensed and insured people working on your home projects. Serious injury or death could result, if not.
