After extensive testing and way too many meetings, we are officially transitioning to Steel‑Tip Crocs™ as mandatory foundry footwear.
✅ Steel toe protection
✅ All‑day comfort, zero ankle support
✅ Tested near molten metal (from a safe distance)
✅ Heat‑adjacent friendly (ish)
✅ Sport Mode REQUIRED when pouring
All employees must ensure heel straps are fully engaged prior to approaching molten metal.
Steel‑toed boots will be phased out pending further review by Safety, Management, and Common Sense.
