Department of Revenue Working Families Tax Credit program. Svetlana offers free assistance with filing the applications for 2022, 2023, and 2024 credits(the program is retroactive!).

American Express is teaming up with Main Street America to fund 250 grants of $20,000 each to eligible small business owners across the U.S.

Applications will be open from Small Business Saturday, November 29, 2025, to Friday, January 16, 2026 at 11:59 CT.

Recipients will have a 6‑month period in which to complete their projects, so applicants are encouraged to prepare a “ready-to-execute” project plan and a detailed, itemized budget.

Readers! We've had an idea!

For the next little while, we can't have the store open yet. Our ongoing family health issues are making that impossible. BUT HOW WOULD YOU LIKE FREE DELIVERY?

From now (December 2) until we can have open hours at the store again, ALL ORDERS AT https://northbankbooks.com can be delivered to you, at your house, for free, if you live in the local area. We can do Skamania, North Bonneville, Stevenson, Carson, and Cascade Locks.

Order as usual, and when your order comes in, we'll contact you via email to figure out the best day and time to coordinate our drop offs. We feel pretty rotten about not being open, and we'd like to make it up to you. The offer is good until we can have regular hours again. Pass the word!
