USA Rare Earth, headquartered in Stillwater, Oklahoma, has agreed to acquire Brazil’s Serra Verde Group for approximately $2.8 billion.
The deal would give USA Rare Earth access to Serra Verde’s rare earth mine and processing operations in Brazil, strengthening its role in the global critical minerals supply chain.

This is especially important as China accounts for about 90% of global processed rare earth output, making diversification of rare earth production a key priority for industries such as defense, electric vehicles, renewable energy, consumer electronics, and advanced manufacturing.
