When Fuel Cell Petrol delivers your heating oil, our driver will prime and start your furnace FREE of charge as a courtesy! 🏠
Our drivers are trained to handle the basics of priming and restarting your furnace, but they are not HVAC technicians. If your furnace does not start or continue running after delivery, you may need to contact a qualified HVAC service company.
🔧 Need HVAC service? Fuel Cell Petrol works with and recommends Field’s Service, Inc. for heating and HVAC service.

Diesel fuel and No. 2 heating oil are very similar fuels! In fact, they are both middle-distillate fuels and can be used in many of the same types of equipment.
🔴 The biggest difference? Heating oil is dyed red to distinguish it from taxed on-road diesel fuel.
That’s also why you’ll typically see a higher price at the diesel pump compared to No. 2 heating oil — on-road diesel includes highway taxes.
🚨 Running low on heating oil? Don’t wait until your tank is empty! If you find yourself in an emergency situation, contact your heating-oil company for guidance before adding another fuel to your system.
And remember: the best way to avoid a run-out is to order before the tank gets too low!
