Today's photo is a rare Clubmoto snap - Jordyn after getting the fresh Kawasaki kit needed a little photoshoot.

While there were a few bikes around California that had my old logo on their graphics kits, I believe this was the only bike that had the updated logo.

Shout out to my closest friend in the moto world from back then, Jordy. I probably have more photos and memories with this guy at a motocross track than anyone else. An absolute ripper on a bike, and always Dylan Cole Photo's #1 supporter.

Also have to add I have seen him crash more than anyone else on a dirt bike 🤣

Shout out Jordy.

Today's post has a little history. This was mid-2011, I had been to 408MX maybe only one or two times prior to this. I had heard of they were hosting called the "IMS Sprint Race". I didn't know much about what it was but I did know the county fair was happening the same weekend next door.

To my surprise, there were some big names that came out: Jimmy Albertson, Kyle Partridge, Preston Mull, and Tommy Weeck. I was understandably excited to shoot some real life pros for the first time. Tommy Weeck was fresh off an incredible P6 moto 1 finish at the Washougal National only a week before, which I remember watching on TV in awe at this unknown privateer battling in the top 5 with the likes of Dean Wilson and Justin Barcia.

Not only did I get some of my all time favorite photos (including probably my all-time favorite which is my current cover photo), but it was insane to watch the Sprint races from inside the track.

Unfortunately, this shoot was also the source of one of my biggest regrets from the early days: I shot the whole day in .JPEG. At the time, I didn't have any options because I didn't have a big enough memory card to shoot 1000+ RAW images at once.

Looking back, I'm still upset with myself that some of my favorite photos of all time were limited by the image format. Thankfully, I just look at the photos and those regrets go away pretty quickly.

I lied, have to post this shot from 2012 of Mark Braden going insane over the back-side triple at 408MX. Shot from a scissor lift that was temporarily borrowed from the site next door...

I'll hold off on any other of Mark for the time being, but this is one of my all time favorite shots; mostly due to the memories of taking it!

Here's a photo from circa 2013 of the legend Mark Braden at 408MX. It was always a great day of shooting if Mark was around, because it guaranteed at least a few bangers of him sending the finish line triple.

I'll try my best to refrain from posting 100 photos of Mark, but it's going to be tough not to post at least a handful 😅

Hello 2026! It's been too long not to be posting photography (twelve years!?). What happened since 2014? Life. Career. Lots has happened. I never intended to go twelve years without posting, it slowly crept in day by day then year over year. In 2026, I'm planning to return to photography. To start, I want to share some photos from the hay-day (2011 to 2014) of images I haven't shared on here.

Lets take a look at a photo that went viral on IG back in 2014, but I never posted to Facebook. James Stewart from Oakland Supercross 2014.

I can't wait to share some new things over the coming weeks.
