Millennial Scientific launches NanoPak-C all Carbon Capillary HPLC columns for small and limited volume (nanoliter to microliter) proteomics.

These products enhance the performance of mass spectrometry analyses of Intact proteins in top-down proteomics and digested proteins in bottom-up shotgun proteomics. They also facilitate separation of other biologics, such as monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).

They could be used for a broad range of applications to characterize diseases (e.g., Alzheimers, cancer), biologic quality control, and drug discovery.

What Is The Difference Between Electrophoretic And Electrochemical Separation?

Electrophoretic separation is widely used and commercial systems are available. The electric field drives the flow of the analyte during electrophoretic separation.

Electrochemical separation has been explored in academia but commercial systems are still unavailable. The electric field does not drive the flow of the analyte during electrochemical separation. The electric field manipulates the adsorptive separation; one of the key mechanisms in liquid chromatography.

Millennial Scientific is celebrating a major intellectual property (IP) milestone with the issuance of its first international patent. We recently received a Notice of Allowance by the Japanese patent office related to our core microbead technology.

The patent covers composition, method, and utility. Its term is 20 years, excluding any patent term adjustments or extensions that may provide additional protection. The Company has also filed corresponding patent applications in the US, Europe, China, South Korea, and India.

Millennial Scientific introduces NanoPak-C solid phase extraction (SPE) tips. The pipette tips are packed using NanoPak-C reverse-phase spherical microbeads chained into a continuous three-dimensional network to form a monolith structure. The tips are suitable for multi-omics applications processing small or limited volumes (microliters down sub nanoliters) of analytes. It can be used in any workflow or method with manual, semi-automated, or fully automated liquid handling systems. The products complement the extraction dispersive SPE micropipette tip portfolio.

I am glad to share that we have been awarded an Phase II grant. Natural products remain a rich source of compounds for drug discovery. However, a key challenge during high throughput bioassay screening of plant-based natural product extracts against molecular targets is the presence of interfering nuisance compounds. The grant allows us to advance the development of an innovative nuisance compound extraction technology.
