There is a reason so many of us are pushing to make Hidden Beauty Retreat a reality. The Wisconsin Law Enforcement Death Response Team (LEDR) has partnered with Tellurian Behavioral Health, an established nonprofit with decades of experience helping people facing mental health and addiction challenges. Together, the vision is to create a treatment and recovery facility devoted to first responders.
Many of us have been affected by the toll this work can take—whether you're in law enforcement, fire, EMS, corrections, dispatch, or you're the spouse, child, parent, or loved one of someone who is.
We ask first responders to run toward things everyone else runs from. Death. Su***de. Violence. Tragedy. Trauma. And then we expect them to go home, shut it off, and come back tomorrow ready to do it again. The effects can accumulate over an entire career.
That is why this project matters. This is a must-have.
We need a place where asking for help doesn't mean being sent somewhere that doesn't understand the culture—a place built around clinical treatment, peer support, family services, wellness, privacy and recovery.
There is a reason that this video of Green Bay Packers Jordan Love and other personal stories has been viewed over 4,000 times. Share it. Add your story. Add your reason.

Someone in your life may need a place like this someday.
255 acres. 16 beds. One mission.
Where Those Who Serve Come to Heal.
This project is approximately 10 million dollars to get started and is going to be started off of donations. Please consider donating.
