A special thank you to everyone who joined us for The Good Place Institute’s inaugural Kingdom Business Activation Summit in the Columbus, Ohio area, earlier this month.

What an inspiring group of business owners, CEOs, executive directors, and organizational leaders who came together with one shared goal — to move beyond conversation to the real-life application of Kingdom principles, values, and methods within their organizations.

We’re grateful for our partners and clients at Joe Knows Energy and Realize Your Calling, and for their founder and president, Dan Lorenz, who shared his powerful experiences in building Kingdom-aligned organizations along with us.

This was just the beginning. In 2026, we’re planning regional micro-summits to continue multiplying the movement — culminating in a larger fall gathering that will carry the momentum of Kingdom Business Activation forward across our region, nation, and world.

Thank you to the leaders who joined us to take the next step in designing organizations that truly reflect God’s Kingdom.

Face up to it. Be humble.

When a leader makes a mistake, the temptation is to defend, spin, or hide behind the brand.

But real leadership—the kind that builds trust and lasting influence—starts with humility.

In this clip, Chris Young reminds us that Jesus began the Sermon on the Mount with “Blessed are the poor in spirit.” That posture still changes everything.

Owning our mistakes doesn’t weaken credibility—it strengthens it.

Our culture still respects a leader who steps up to the microphone and says, “That was my fault. I should have done better.”

Humility communicates strength. Transparency builds trust.

What is the purpose of your organization?

In a Good Place Organization, we use the word “Charter” to describe the purpose, vision, mission, aim, values, inspiration and anything else that expresses what the organization desires to be and do. It is a statement that provides the “aim” of the entire organization as a system. It provides the direction we use to “chart” the course of the organization. It sets the tone, shapes culture, fosters unity, settles disputes, creates clarity, and provides inspiration.
