Have you ever heard, or have you ever been told, "all this piano needs is just a good tuning?" I hear this all the time...mostly from clients who were quoting the person who was giving, or selling them, the piano! Usually, the piano does need a good tuning, but more often than not, the piano needs additional repairs and/or adjustments before the piano can be tuned properly and function at a descent level....

If you own a piano more than say 30 yrs. old (and that would likely be a great majority of you) then here's a great question for you to consider... Has your Piano Action ever been Reconditioned? First you ask..."A Piano Action? What is that? My piano has one of those?" And your next question is likely "What is reconditioning ?" And "why do I need to have my piano action reconditioned?" After all, the nice salesman when I bought the piano guaranteed that my piano would last forever and I would never have to do anything else to it, other than tune it....

I trust you all had a wonderful Thankgiving. I had a most wonderful visit with family and for that I am truely grateful and blessed. I ran accross this blog post of mine from a couple years ago and thought I'd share. It was written at a time I was needing to reflect and count my blessings and remember why I got into this profession in the first place, and more importantly...why I stayed! I'm truely thankful for my many customers and for the opportunity to serve so may people through my piano business.
