Busy in the shop and starting to do corral! Little photo dump of some jobs. I’ve been slacking on taking pictures. Looked through my phone and looks like we’ve only did about 5 jobs since the New Year. Just a reminder that we do a variety here. We sell metal, welding supplies, and I don’t think people understand how much it means to me (or any small business) when you support local. The farmer in me; he will tell you when you can buy something cheaper rather than have me fix it. The welder in me; he will tell you when I can build you something 2x as strong and it’ll be worth the money. My favorite person is a DIY’er. Even if you don’t have me weld it, I can help you with your material needs. It doesn’t hurt my feelings if you want to weld it yourself, as long as I can help in someway! Thank you!

Cattle, cattle, cattle! All sorts of cattle stuff going on with this nice weather. Free standing panels are done and moving on down the list. Been blessed that I’ve had a lot of extra help over the Christmas break! Going to miss them that’s for sure. It’s amazing how God can put people in your life whether they’re there for me, or I for them. It’s just better when the shops full of life. Doors always open for that reason! (Not literally just in a metaphorical sense, show up during business hours 😆)

Trying to get ahead of the work so we can take off to clean the shop before the open house August 8th! Pictured below are some of the jobs we got done just this last week. I like to remind customers of just some of the things that we are able to do. Being out on the farm; we’re out of sight out of mind sometimes. Welding for a few years now and during small talk customers will still tell me, “I didn’t know you do that kinda stuff.” If it’s metal, will give it our best shot!

From starting to redo our own corral on the farm in 2014 with Alex Gross; To putting up corral for family with Alex and Michael Rohrich. The corral side of the business comtinued to grow. Just a few years ago, I started putting up corral with some buddies and now it has grown into its own entity called “Dakota Corral”! I just couldn’t handle the corral demand by myself anymore, so Cody Baumgartner and myself joined together to tackle the problem. We have a great group of guys this year including Cody, Jacob Vander Vorste, and Gunner Reis doing the heavy lifting while Alex, Johan, and myself help out where we can. So far, we have pretty much filled out the year with work! If you are interested in: corral, corral maintenance, corral repair, or anything to with cattle facilities in general, call Cody (number in pictures) or myself.
