As a photographer, the Arctic weather we have right now is not ideal... so if you're looking for me, I'll be at shooting at the Botanical Garden until Spring!

I absolutely love capturing this sweet family every year. It's so special to get to watch their littles grow and become such great little humans.

Even though they weren't feeling 100% this year, you'd never know it (the twins were on the mend, but still felt a little bit under the weather). They were both so kind to each other and cheesed it up the entire time

I've always been in love with shooting at the Iowa State Capitol, but this wedding at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden added a new favorite venue to my list.

If you've been looking for the perfect spot for a late fall or winter microwedding / elopement location that feels tropical but is still in Iowa, the Botanical Garden is the place you've been looking for.

Between the bright light, the warmth and all the incredible plants, this is going to be my happy place this for the next 5 months... let me know if you want to do a session there while I avoid the cold winter months😅

When it comes to family sessions that include the 4-legged members, it's always a 'Yes' from me.

They may take a little extra planning, coordination and maybe even a little stress, but it's 100% worth it to have these memories with them captured.
