On this day 40 years ago, September 24th, 1986 John met Julie in Indianapolis, IN. It was a chance meeting of the two them…she was traveling to Indianapolis to move her sister and he was there playing a show. They met at a place in downtown Indy arriving separately. That night they sat and talked all night. 40 years later they’re still sharing their lives together and celebrating each other!

Freedom Fest 2026, a conservative festival that takes place in the Cincinnati area featuring Kid Rock, has been canceled.

According to organizer Eric Deters, the news comes after just six people bought VIP tickets. He reportedly explained that he’d originally “put it together with the game plan and the idea that I could pay for it with VIP sales of $1,000 from these 100 people that I interact with on a regular basis."

When the sales didn't come through as expected, Deters apparently added, “I want to tell you something: Rich people, as a whole, suck.”
