The winners of the 2026 Martin County Business Awards for Innovation in Workforce Development are Angela Hoffman and the Martin Chamber Foundation's Career Connect Martin program!

Originated by Angela to solve persistent challenges in the local jobs market, Career Connect offers concierge-style recruitment and training programs for jobseekers in underserved areas of the county while teaming with employers on placement and training opportunities.

Jobseekers benefit from professional coaching and on-the-job training. They’re then connected with participating employers, who are further incentivized to hire the vetted prospects thanks to the additional advantage of grant-enabled wage assistance.

The program is acclaimed for solving a key challenge facing employers and creating exciting opportunities for employees.

The winner of the Manufacturer of the Year for 2026 is Weedoo Boats!

The company specializes in manufacturing a variety of work vessels and equipment that’s uniquely engineered to safely remove invasives species from waterways without the need to apply harmful herbicides.

We had the privilege of assisting Weedoo Boats in locating to Martin County and opening its 27,000-square-foot facility.

The company not only complements our marine industry, its core mission of safely restoring and protecting waterways aligns nicely with our community values.

Hanwha Power (previously known as Power Systems Manufacturing) started out in Martin County in the 1990s. We had the privilege of assisting the company in investing $17 million in a 180,000-square-foot facility at the South Florida Gateway Distribution Center in Stuart.

The company creates innovative turbine upgrades that support critical power generation infrastructure and sustainable clean enegy.

Its reach is global, with offices in Japan, Mexico, The Netherlands, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.

Creating high-skilled jobs in engineering and manufacturing, Hanwha Power is a welcome addition to Martin County's economy.

Julian has a knack for figuring things out. So when a friend at Martin County High School asked the 16 year old if he knew anyone who could photograph football games, he thought, Why not me?

That was the beginning of Flicks by JD, which through tenacity and talent he’s turned into a successful photography business, shooting stills and videos of sporting events, weddings, life milestones and local businesses.

Winners of the 2026 Martin County Business Awards are now public!

Starting at 11:15 a.m. on Oct. 26 at Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa, the event's presenting sponsor is Bank of America.

A sold-out event seven years in a row, this is the biggest event of its kind in the county. We're very grateful for Bank of America, and all our sponsors, whose generosity makes this celebration of Martin County's innovation, ingenuity and enterprise possible.
