Most healthcare visits are built around starting treatment quickly.

But with musculoskeletal problems, the more important question is often:

What is actually driving this problem in the first place?

Pain is rarely just about the area that hurts. Movement patterns, compensation, training history, previous injuries, and load tolerance all matter.

That’s why the first visit at PerformProFL is designed differently.

The goal isn’t simply to begin treatment — it’s to establish strategy.

I wrote a short piece on that process here:

A more complete approach to injury evaluation, movement, and performance in Stuart, FL. Stuart, FL Chiropractor.

Still dealing with back, shoulder, or knee pain that isn’t going away?

Even after treatment?

I work with patients who have already tried multiple approaches — and are still stuck.

The focus is different:
Identify what’s actually driving the problem and build a plan to get you back to full activity.

Now seeing patients in Stuart.

Appointments available next week.

Dealing with pain that just won’t fully resolve?

Many of the patients I see have already tried treatment — sometimes for months or years — and are still dealing with the same issue.

The problem often isn’t a lack of care.
It’s that the diagnosis or plan isn’t quite right.

I’m now seeing patients in Stuart, focused on identifying what’s actually driving the problem and getting you back to full activity.

A big part of what I do has nothing to do with treatment itself.

It’s determining the right strategy for building capacity back into the system.

Once that’s clear, much of the actual work can — and should — happen in the gym, often with a capable trainer.

The problem is that without the right diagnosis and plan, people either avoid loading altogether or return to it in a way that brings the problem right back

I wrote a short piece on how this process should work:

This is the model behind what I’m building at PerformPro —
clear diagnosis, targeted intervention, and a structured return to training.

Injury keeps coming back? Relief isn’t recovery. Learn why—and how a complete approach prevents recurrence.

One of the most common patterns I see is this:

The diagnosis sounds reasonable.
The treatment is consistent.
And yet, the problem doesn’t fully resolve.

That usually means something important is being missed in the process.

I wrote a short piece on why injuries don’t improve the way they should — and what needs to change:
https://performprofl.com/when-the-diagnosis-is-wrong/

This is a big part of the work I’m now doing in Stuart.

Injury not improving? The diagnosis may be wrong. A sports chiropractor in Stuart, FL explains why—and what to do next.

A lot of the patients I see have already been diagnosed and treated, sometimes multiple times, and are still dealing with the same issue.

One of the most common problems is that the diagnosis isn’t quite right, or it doesn’t fully explain what’s driving the symptoms.

I wrote a short piece on this:
Why some injuries don’t improve the way they should — and what needs to change for them to actually resolve.

If this sounds familiar, this is exactly the type of case I work with.

Here's a rare photo of me running on the Ironman Lake Placid course! I made it to the finish on time, but it was closer than I would have liked. More later, but thank you to everyone who cheered me on from near and far. I especially want to thank my wonderful wife and son who made this possible. Knowing that I would see them out there was the only thing that kept me going.

The intricate interplay between the scapula and the rotator cuff muscles is crucial to shoulder function. One key factor in understanding this relationship is scapular upward rotation, a dynamic movement pivotal in maintaining optimal shoulder mechanics.

Shoulder pain and rotator cuff injuries often have a hidden cause that is easily treated, but your doctor might not have mentioned it.
