💚Caregiver of the Month: Claunique! 💚

This month, we had the pleasure of celebrating Claunique as our Caregiver of the Month!

Something we truly appreciate about Claunique is her willingness to take on challenges with patience, understanding, and a positive attitude. In caregiving, every client has different personalities, preferences, and needs, and finding the right fit can sometimes take time. Claunique has shown us just how much of a difference the right caregiver can make!

She has developed an incredible relationship with one of our clients, earning his trust and becoming someone he genuinely looks forward to seeing. Knowing that he feels comfortable, supported, and happy with her means the world to us.

Beyond the relationships she builds, Claunique is someone our office can depend on. She is always willing to lend a helping hand when needed, and we know that when she’s caring for a client, they’re in good hands.

We were so happy to surprise her with a little goody bag to show our appreciation! Claunique, thank you for being someone both our clients and our office can count on. We appreciate you more than you know! 💚

WHEW… what a jam-packed week it has been for our Cornerstone Caregiving Port St. Lucie / Stuart family! 💙

We have had SO much to celebrate, so much fun, and so many opportunities to love on our community!

🎂 We kicked off the week by celebrating our amazing Staffing Manager, Kamesha Brown, on her birthday! We decorated her office and took her out to lunch because this girl deserves to be celebrated! 🥳 Kamesha is truly such a blessing to our team, and we are so thankful to have her!

🎉 Then on Tuesday, WE CELEBRATED ONE YEAR OF BEING OPEN IN STUART! 🥹💙 One whole year of serving families, meeting incredible people, growing our team, and becoming a part of this community. It has been quite a year, and I couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who has been a part of it!

🥂 Thursday was our End-of-Summer Bash, which we had the absolute pleasure of helping host alongside our friends at Senior Care Solutions, VITAS Healthcare, Trua Senior Living Locators, The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard, and Abbey Rose Estate Specialists! We had SO much fun getting everyone together, making new connections, laughing, eating, and enjoying a night outside of our normal work routines. We definitely need to do another one! 😉

🍗🧇 Friday was another BIG one! We teamed up with 10 other amazing community partners to host a Chicken & Waffles event for the staff at Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Tradition, and we served OVER 300 healthcare workers! Talk about a full house! It was such a fun way to say THANK YOU to the people who work so hard taking care of our community every single day. ❤️

And TODAY, Javia Gervais, our new Scheduling Manager, and I got to spend some time at The Adult Day Center at the Council on Aging with their participants and families. We had a wonderful time visiting, getting to know everyone, and giving away a pretty awesome raffle basket! 🎁

I’m sitting here tonight feeling SO incredibly grateful.
Grateful for our team.
Grateful for our community.
Grateful for our referral partners and friends.
Grateful for the people who continue to welcome us into their organizations and events.
And grateful that we get to do work that genuinely matters.

One year in Stuart… and I have a feeling this is just the beginning. 💙

💛 Caregiver of the Month: Dontisia! 💛

We are so excited to recognize Dontisia as our Caregiver of the Month!

Dontisia is truly one of those people who can brighten a room just by walking into it. She is kindhearted, bubbly, dependable, and always brings the best energy wherever she goes.

She has been caring for one of our clients for quite some time now, and the bond they have built is so special. Whether she’s helping him get to the bank, taking him to a VA appointment, or getting him out into the community to listen to music and enjoy his day, Dontisia is always willing to go the extra mile. She doesn’t just show up and provide great care, she makes sure her client is able to continue doing the things that bring him joy.

Dontisia, we are so grateful for the kindness, positivity, and heart you bring to Cornerstone and to the clients you care for. We are so lucky to have you on our team! Congratulations!

💜 Caregiver of the Month: Chiquea! 💜

This month, we are so excited to celebrate Chiquea as our Caregiver of the Month! Chiquea has been part of our Cornerstone family since January, and in that time, she has made such a meaningful impact on so many of our clients. She has cared for a wide variety of clients, including loving on some of our hospice clients during incredibly important moments in their lives. She has also transported several of our clients and is always willing to step up and do more whenever she is needed.

One of the things we admire most about Chiquea is her willingness to learn and grow. We have watched her develop so much in her caregiver role since joining our team, and she is always open to learning something new. When we have a new client who needs care, Chiquea is often ready to say, “Send them my way!” She never seems to shy away from a new challenge. 💪🏽

Chiquea also works at the hospital, so she brings an incredible perspective and experience to the care she provides. Most importantly, she has a heart for people and consistently shows up for our clients, literally and figuratively! When Chiquea says she will be there, she is there.

Outside of caregiving, Chiquea is firm in her faith and has a special love for the color purple which honestly feels pretty fitting for someone who brings so much heart and compassion to the people around her!

We feel incredibly blessed to have Chiquea on our team and, even more so, to have had the opportunity to watch her grow throughout her time with us.

Thank you, Chiquea, for your dependability, your willingness to learn, your heart for our clients, and for always being willing to go the extra mile.

🌟 Caregiver of the Month – June: Shawnte! 🌟

Please join us in congratulating our June Caregiver of the Month, Shawnte! 💙

Shawnte has made an incredible impact on both her client and their family. She has received countless compliments from family members about the compassionate, dependable care she provides each and every day. Her kindness, patience, and positive attitude truly shine through in everything she does.

One of our favorite stories is that although Shawnte was a little nervous around her client's dogs at first, she has completely won them over—and now she loves them just as much as they love her! 🐾

With her background in physical therapy, Shawnte has also been a tremendous asset by helping her client stay active through light exercises, promoting strength, mobility, and independence in a safe and encouraging way.

She is always on time, eager to help, and genuinely cares for the people she serves. We are so grateful to have Shawnte on our team and couldn't be more proud to recognize her for all she does.

It's been a busy couple of weeks here at Cornerstone Caregiving Port St. Lucie, FL office, and we wanted to share a few highlights! 💙

Last week, we had the opportunity to celebrate National CNA Week by hosting a caregiver appreciation lunch in our office. Our caregivers are the heart of everything we do, and it was wonderful to spend time together, enjoy lunch, give away raffle prizes, and recognize the incredible compassion and dedication they bring to our clients every single day. Thank you to each of our caregivers for the difference you make in the lives of local families.

The week before, our team had a great time participating in the Senior Health Expo in Port St. Lucie! We enjoyed meeting so many seniors, caregivers, and community partners while sharing resources about aging in place and the in-home care services we provide throughout the Treasure Coast.

Whether we're supporting our caregivers, connecting with our community, or caring for families in their homes, we're grateful to be part of such an amazing community.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, attended our events, or continues to support our mission. We can't wait to see what the next few weeks have in store! 💙

✨ A Milestone Worth Celebrating ✨

For months, our team has been working toward a goal of providing 500 hours of care each week to families across the Treasure Coast.

Last week, we didn't just reach that goal—we surpassed it, providing 644 hours of care to our community.

While we're proud of this accomplishment, what means the most to us is what those hours represent. Each hour is time spent helping a senior remain safely at home, supporting family caregivers, and providing compassionate care when it's needed most.

This milestone didn't happen overnight. It's the result of months of hard work, faith, persistence, and a team that refuses to give up. We are incredibly grateful for our dedicated caregivers, office staff, referral partners, and the families who continue to place their trust in us every day.

At Cornerstone Caregiving, we believe caring for others is more than a job—it's a calling. We are honored to serve the Treasure Coast and look forward to continuing to grow, reach more families, and make a meaningful difference in our community.

Last Thursday, we had the privilege of hosting our Baking for a Brighter Memory fundraiser, and we are still feeling incredibly grateful for the support we received from our community.

What started as a simple bake sale became an opportunity to bring people together, raise awareness, support an incredible cause, and connect with many of the amazing professionals and referral partners we are fortunate to work alongside every day.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who stopped by, donated, purchased baked goods, shared our event, or simply took the time to learn more, we were able to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Community Care and support the important work they do for individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

We are especially thankful to our referral partners and community supporters who continue to show up, not only for us, but for the seniors and families we collectively serve throughout the Treasure Coast.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success. We are proud to be part of a community that cares so deeply for one another, and we look forward to continuing to make a difference together. 💙

Monday morning, our team had such a wonderful time partnering with The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard Senior Living for their Quilting Club gathering! 🧵💙

We loved bringing breakfast and spending the morning with such a talented and welcoming group. It was so special getting the opportunity to connect with everyone, share conversations, and be part of such a meaningful community event.

One of the wonderful things about gatherings like these is seeing people come together through friendship, creativity, and connection. We are always grateful for opportunities to support and engage with the communities around us.

Thank you to The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard for having us. We truly enjoyed being part of the morning! ☀️
