Pick a lane, LEAH!
I hear it constantly. And look I get it, it would make things easier. Easier to sell, easier to explain at a party, easier for people who work a 9 to 5. But picking a lane just to be more marketable is late-stage capitalism doing exactly what it does to creatives: asking us to get smaller and tidier so we're easier to sell.
Karrels Design isn't a summer thing, or brand I built separate from myself... it's everything for me because it IS me. I make what I'm curious about, because I can, because it's fun. Some weeks that's breaking out the watercolor. Some weeks it's ceramics. Others is whatever will keep me from starving this winter.
I can't relate to clocking out anymore, and I've made peace with that. This is 100% who I am.
