Today my heart is bursting.
When I founded Fit Oshkosh, we welcomed a UW Oshkosh intern named Baleigh Tolksdorf in 2017—and it was immediately clear to everyone that she was a force. Organized. Insightful. Professional beyond her years.
Baleigh was later hired to support our youth programming and brought ingenuity that consistently exceeded expectations. She quickly became part of the heartbeat of our mission to build a community where everyone—regardless of racial identity—could “fit” in.
She also brought her then-boyfriend, Emil Vajgrt, to volunteer. Emil—now a photographer for an NBA player—generously lent his talent behind the camera, capturing our work and our why, time and time again.
In 2021, when I pivoted to DEI and nonprofit consulting and launched QUAD DEI Consultants, LLC, I curated a small team of trainers and facilitators—our “QUAD Squad.” Adding Baleigh was a no-brainer. Once again, her contributions were limitless and deeply felt.
So today, with so much love and admiration, we celebrate Baleigh & Emil’s engagement! 🥂
Baleigh, watching you grow from intern to nonprofit Executive Director in your own right has been an absolute privilege. Now we get to cheer you on in this next chapter. Emil, thank you for the way you’ve shown up—through your art, your time, and your heart.
Here’s to partnership, purpose, and a lifetime of love. We are so happy for you both.
