Remember the ’48 Flathead in the Emporium? It’s an absolute classic. We are looking at creating our first Subscription Sweepstakes for Easyriders Magazine starting with the next issue. We are thinking about building this bike, but perhaps a Panhead. Make is super rideable and reliable, but a classic like this bike. What do you think?

Sacred Biker Ground by Edge
It’s September and the Smoke Out bike rally in Salisbury, NC just ended. Three bikers chose to have their final remains interned at the event. One family gathered at the entrance and spread the ashes of their loved one. One biker removed his rear wheel, took off his tire and respectfully transferred the ashes of his biker brother to the inside of the tire.
I would also like my remains scattered at the Smoke Out when I go, however, I don’t want to be cremated so we may have a few issues.

We are wrapping up the Nov/Dec issue. The seasons in Sturgis are changing and it adds a degree of stress. Prepare for the winter. Get ready for the Holiday season. Work on the Editorial Calendar for next year.

So, we have deadlines, yikes. If I rest for a minute or get another cup of coffee, my computer shuts down. If I blink, my phone quits. I’ve been to the Verizon store three times seeking help with my new Iphone and getting it connected with my car.

Royal Enfield One Ride report
North America contributed a record turnout, as 27 locations across the United States, plus two locations in Canada, contributed over 1,500 riders to the occasion. Riders took part on their own Royal Enfield machines, with an eclectic range from classic bikes to current models, as riders came together to support the event.

We are working with our crew scrambling to have some wild Xmas merch ready for the holidays. I need to finish removing the salt from the Bonne Belle. I have a couple of deals for you from the same guy, Cabana Dan in Sturgis. I went to his new digs the other day to check out some Shovelheads. So, what else could I possibly need. I’ve had an itch to own two more motorcycles. One is my Sturgis Shovel. The guy who owns it now reached out, but I lost contact. The other bike is a stock 1969 Sportster, my first Harley in 1969.

Here’s an interesting twist. I customized it some, back then. I would love to have the original back, but who the hell knows where it is. It had 6-inch over glide tubes and I extended the stock risers and chromed them. It had a Le Pera Cobra seat and was custom painted with blue graphics. It also had earlier shorty mufflers. Otherwise, the stock Sporty was cool with the shorty mufflers and the mandatory Cobra seat. The one I had was sort of an amber brown.

In the meantime, ride fast and free, goddammit.

Life is nuts and then you die. We are working on a deal to bring Tattoo mag back. The FB page will be re-energized. A new website is being formed and all it entails.

We are working on updated ER subscription sales efforts for Xmas and 2027. I rode my VLXAFL to the last Hamster outing at the SOB in St. Onge, SD. It was the first 40 or so mile ride in the break-in period. The bike ran like a top but I lost my phone along the route and some bastard ran over it.

Fisher Over Drane by 0.009 in Caterpillar Springfield Mile II Finale Thriller. As with his first – taken at the 2021 Charlotte Half-Mile – Fisher did so in a season-ending stunner. The difference is this one came in Springfield, Illinois, at the Illinois State Fairgrounds’ fabled Springfield Mile.
