Iāve only posted on this page six times this entire year.
Not because I havenāt been working. Iāve still been behind the camera, delivering galleries, documenting weddings, families, seniors, milestones and all of the little moments in between. I just havenāt been very good at showing it here.
This year, a lot of my attention has gone somewhere else. To baseball fields, soccer sidelines, basketball courts, gymnastics, school things, practices, games, driving kids everywhere, and just trying to soak up this season of motherhood while somehow running a business in the middle of it all. There was a time when I felt like I had to constantly post, constantly create, constantly remind people that I was still here. And this yearā¦ I just havenāt. So finding out that I was voted Best of the Best feels a little extra special because even in a season where I havenāt been showing up online nearly as much, you guys still showed up for me. You remembered me, you recommended me, you trusted me with your families and your biggest moments, you voted for me. And that truly means so muchā¤ļø
Iāve spent years building this little business and somewhere along the way it became so much more than a job. It has allowed me to create for people while also being the mom I want to be, even when balancing the two is CRAZY and my social media page gets neglected in the processš My kids are only going to be this little once and these sports seasons and busy evenings wonāt last forever. And right now, Iām so incredibly grateful that photography gives me the ability to be there for so much of it.
So thank you for continuing to choose me, talk about me, share my work and support this business even when Iām a little quieter over here.
In a year where I sometimes wondered if not showing up on here as much meant being forgotten, you reminded me that it didnāt. And that might be my favorite part of this awardš¤
