We keep hydraulic hoses under pressure, but last week the heat was on our team. The PIRTEK USA corporate office hosted its Hot Wing Challenge, where participants faced 7 levels of heat, answered trivia while feeling the burn, and competed for the ultimate bragging rights.

After making it through the heat, our Director of Information Technology, Robert Spiteri, came out on top and was crowned our Hot Wing Challenge champion!

Twenty-five years later, we remember. This Patriot Day, the PIRTEK USA team gathered to reflect, remember those we lost, and honor the first responders who answered the call on September 11, 2001.

In that same spirit of service, we also took time to recognize the first responders who serve our local community every day. Our team delivered donuts to the Brevard County Sheriff's Office, Florida (Official), and lunch to the Rockledge Fire Department as a thank you for their continued service and dedication.

Today and every day, we are grateful for those who serve and protect our communities.

Most companies have a crimper at their shop, forcing you to leave the jobsite to get replacement hydraulic hoses.

But for customers where time is even more critical, we take it another step further.

Scenario:
A barge and tug need a full hose refit. The vessel is down and operations cannot wait.

Most providers would require hoses to be removed and taken back to their building. That does not work when you are working on a vessel, and the clock is running.

We loaded our mobile crimping unit directly onto the barge so hoses could be measured, built, and installed right where the work was happening, even below the waterline.

When it’s 3° outside, getting the job done indoors makes a difference.
Our shop is big enough to bring large equipment inside, so our technicians can work safely, efficiently, and without fighting the weather.
Also not every job is a straight hose replacement. This one required custom metal fabrication to make everything fit and function correctly. Jerry handled it in-house, start to finish.
That’s the advantage of experience and having the right facility. We figure it out and get you back to work.
