Five years ago, we cut the ribbon on a new chapter. A historic building that stood vacant for more than 30 years was restored to serve it's original purpose as Amarillo's Crown Jewel. 💙

Since August 5, 2021, we've had the privilege of welcoming travelers and locals alike, celebrating milestones, sharing stories, and creating unmatched moments with our community. As we celebrate our 5th Birthday, we're especially grateful knowing this milestone comes just ahead of another remarkable one: 100 years since The Barfield Building first opened.

Here's to honoring the history that brough us here while continuing to write the next chapter together. Thank you to every guest, curator, and community partner who has been part of our story.

One of the most recognizable landmarks in the High Ground of Texas is The Dome Civic & Convention Center in Borger.

Originally built in 1957 as the first Kaiser Aluminum Dome in the continental United States, The Dome has become much more than a historic structure. Today, it serves as a gathering place for livestock shows, conventions, community celebrations, concerts, and events that bring visitors to Borger and support local businesses.

Investments in community spaces like The Dome help strengthen local economies by encouraging tourism, supporting small businesses, and creating opportunities for people to gather, connect, and celebrate what makes West Texas unique. It's another example of how preserving our history while investing in the future helps communities continue to grow.
